A Nod to Our British Roots
Claret is typically a Bordeaux blend that got its name from the Brits way back in the 15th century when most of French wine exports went to England. Deep ruby red color, the wine exudes an aroma of black cherry and blackberry with smoky, rich oak. As you taste the wine, it fills the mouth with rich flavors of black fruit, with added olive and mocha notes. Soft, yet assertive tannins round off the fruit flavors on the palate, leaving a delicious long lasting finish.
