Red Star is one of the most palate friendly and popular wines we have created at Veritas in recent years. The wine shows a similar character to the wines from Beaujolais in France, but with deeper fruit flavors. The Red Star is light bodied and aromatic, practically jumping out of the glass with ripe fruit tones. A blend of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Chambourcin create a myriad of red fruits such as Cherry, Raspberry and Strawberry. The light 1.96% residual sugar makes Red Star a perfect red wine to pair with light red meats or game birds or simply enjoyed on the front porch in the summer. Best enjoyed in it youth 1-3 years after vintage.
